Hello,
Only way to learn is to ask questions, right?
What is the recommended procedure concerning lubrication of all the 3 point hitch parts that wear against one another, such as the draft link swivels, bushings etc...? I have a new JD 790 and I want it to last a long time. I have noticed the hitch parts on older tractors that are worn and rusted beyond being effective and I would like to prevent this, although I wonder if lubing them will attract dirt and grit and make them wear out prematurely. I also noticed no lube instructions for the hitch in the manual. Please enlighten me.

runslikeadeere, I've always put a very light coating of 80w90 oil on my 3pt's. I also let it ware off before doing it again, too much oil will gum things up.

I use the spray graphite lubricant as Drankin and Deere recommend. There is limited waste and the graphite remains on like primer paint. Very efficient. ....
